This memorable, two-day accelerated learning experience is especially designed for leader-managers in corporate settings, and business owners engaging others in today’s evolving workspaces. Working with horses, participants will gain powerful insights into the motivational, emotional and social influences that shape their leadership decisions.

Back in the classroom, we draw upon time proven techniques from the realms of clinical psychology, law enforcement, biology and mathematics, participants learn how to extract facts and retain logic even under extremely stressful conditions.     Jennifer Garland - The Mane Intent

    Jennifer Garland is the Owner/Program Director of The Mane Intent, offering Wellness Workshops, Individual and Team Effectiveness Coaching and Leadership Development.

    Jennifer’s intent is to facilitate meaningful connections, affirming our inner leadership qualities and inviting transformation both in ourselves and our communities. The Mane Intent is founded on the belief that horses are nature’s best coaches, inspiring greater well-being and inviting change. She launched this unique business in 2014 and in 2017 received a Business Excellence Award in the Wellness Category.

    Jennifer is an award-winning professional with significant leadership experience in communications, cause-related marketing and change management. She established her management consulting firm, The Cactus Group, in 1997. As a strategist, facilitator and effectiveness coach, Jennifer also provides counsel and support to senior leaders to build productive relationships, facilitate learning and embrace change. She is the recipient of two International Gold Quill Awards.

    Geoff Crane - Adaptimist Insights

    Geoff Crane is the President and CEO of Adaptimist Insights, a professional training and development organization offering a variety of programs that teach advanced emotional and social competencies.

    A pioneer in the field of motivational intelligence, Geoff has authored numerous articles on the importance of emotional and social skills in the workplace. He is well-versed in the changing demands of today’s project-based work environments. With compassionate competence, Geoff finds his purpose by coaching leaders to design and build a balanced repertoire of soft skills to help them achieve what matters most.

    Geoff’s extensive international career experience includes high profile and large-scale project management assignments with companies like Citibank, DBS Bank, IBM and many others. He is currently completing a Masters Degree in Applied Modeling and Quantitative Methods. A researcher with the Emotion and Health Research Laboratory at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario, his studies focus on Motivational Intelligence.

    Retreat Location

    This unique experience is hosted at a beautiful century farm featuring a stone labyrinth, beautiful vistas and fields of green, original log cabin, century barns and an indoor arena for equine connections. The farm is located east of Peterborough north of Highway 7—just 90 minutes north east of the Greater Toronto Area. Accommodation is also available in area resorts and cottages.
