We select our curriculum through customer interviews and measure performance against our extensive library of normative data. All of our programs are backed by the latest science.
Two flavours of training
At Adaptimist, we believe everyone should be able to order their training their way. We let you choose the kind of workshop that best suits your needs. Even after you pick, we still design our classroom experiences to maximize individual attention and allow for extensive program customization. We want you to walk away from our classes feeling ready to tackle your next challenge.

Corporate training
We also offer corporate training options for all of our programs. Corporate training allows us to leverage our rich library of research to perfectly tailor our content to the needs of your clientele.
Introductory Emotional and Social Competency Training
We created this short program after intense demand for “introductory” programming that would allow organizations to “get their feet wet” in soft skill education before adopting a larger emotional and social competency training strategy. Emphasis is on emotional intelligence fundamentals as well as developing interpersonal skills that apply to a range of workplace and lifestyle situations.
All participants receive complimentary emotional intelligence testing before and after the program. Participants will also get a personalized feedback report summarizing their emotional intelligence skills courtesy of the Emotion and Health Research Laboratory at Trent University.
Advanced Emotional and Social Competency Training for Working Professionals
We designed this intensive two-day workshop specifically with project professionals in mind. Our program places importance on developing adequate awareness to recognize and manage strong emotions in self and in others. We draw upon time-proven techniques from the realms of clinical psychology, law enforcement, biology and mathematics to teach participants how to extract facts and retain logic even under extremely stressful conditions.
All participants receive a complimentary 102 page, full-colour workbook to accompany each lesson, as well as emotional intelligence testing before and after the program. Participants will also get a personalized feedback report summarizing their emotional intelligence skills courtesy of the Emotion and Health Research Laboratory at Trent University.
Mastering the Behavioural Job Interview
We designed this short workshop to plug directly into existing work readiness and outplacement transition programs. Participants will gain insight into the behavioural job interview from both sides of the table and will gain a better appreciation of their own strengths such that they can answer anecdotal questions with ease.
Burnout Prevention for Project Professionals
We hear from our customers all the time about the real need for programming to address workplace disengagement and burnout. In response, we have designed this program to educate our customers about the importance of workplace resilience. We believe everyone has the right to take on a challenge; we also believe everyone should have the right tools before going in.
Reading Body Language
In this intensive full-day program, we step through presentations of the human body from the face to the feet exploring how each part of the body signals thought, emotion and intent. Special emphasis is placed on developing awareness of body language as well as how to use body language to influence and guide others’ behaviour.
Custom Programs
We are constantly working on new and more innovative ways to help our clients bring more emotional and social skills to the workplace. Thanks to our partnerships at Trent University and mental health organizations throughout the community, we are a position to research and deliver other program ideas for your audiences including:
- Stress management techniques
- Reflection and leadership
- Motivational intelligence, change and adaptability
- Negotiation and deal-making
- And many more
